But for example, if your towing a trailer. The police don't have the right to search that locked trailer, unless they have ...

Re: Careless Driving - Abusive Officer/Illegal Search
Next time, give the officer your keys and ask him to open your trunk himself.
He does not have the right to search your trunk and you should never open it for him.

Re: New York State...
That is a dilemna.
I'm not really sure. Maybe try calling up the mto and asking them how it works exactly...
I would think though that they might use the most closest offense that relates to it in Ontario, or like you said maybe it has no demerits at all in Ontario.

Re: New York State...
It will probably give you 2 points in Ontario as well.
New York does have a demerit points agreement with Ontario. so your conviction in New York and demerit points will transfer over.

If you don't want to fight it, at least try getting it reduced.
See if you can go to First Attendance meeting and ask for a lower charge/fine.

Re: Red light- Fail to stop 144(18).. suggestions?
Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but if you have been charged with 144 (18), I'm under the understanding that it is a $250 charge with a $50 victims surcharge (Whatever that is, ... a crock).
If I am correct this would be a fatal flaw. What you would have to do is choose to fight it, then NOT show up for trial in hopes the the JP sees ...

Excellent point there Biron. I would never have thought of that!Biron wrote: This is done because the unborn child does not have OHIP. However, nothing prevents them from using the father's OHIP coverage and in your case they should use your OHIP simply because the child is your son/daughter.

Change is always "Good" however, getting fat at an early age due to technology which is causing this is not so good of a "Change"
