Re: Can anyone confirm what this no parking sign means?
I would interpret it kinda like this:
Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, June, Aug, Oct, Dec = Parking allowed with Permit only between the hours of 12am to 10am every day in those months only.
May, July, Sept, Nov = No parking allowed at all for those months.
I never seen those signs before, but damn thats confusing.

Ya thats for sure, the fine has nothing to do with anything and will not influence your verdict.
Also, why take the headache to do this on your own? Get rid of the stress of it all, move on, play some xbox ;)
And also, its not a "Judge" at trials per se, but they are actually called a "Justice of Peace". And you want to address him/her not as ...

Re: 17 years old, 1 month old car, 7 tickets. Any help?
I figured that if I borrowed money to afford a paralegal the judge will think I have money for a paralegal I can pay the $6000 ish fines I will be presented with.
It does not matter what your fines are and what your Paralegal costs are to a Judge. A good Paralegal should be able to handle this to get some reductions atleast. Your fines might ...

Because your only a G1 driver and just starting out your life long driving career, I would highly recommend a good Paralegal to represent you. You made a mistake, stuff happens, hopefully lesson learned.
Try calling some traffic ticket companies up, explain your situation, your age etc, and they might even want to help you out for less money. Talk ...

Re: New Member? Come and say Hi and Introduce yourself here!
Welcome Squirrely!
But I just want to say that I wouldnt look at it that way. Laws are needed for a society to work. The money aspect is not a cash grab, but mostly required to fund the justice system. The cop going after you to give a ticket etc needs to be paid for! Otherwise ever see the Youtube video about traffic in some other countries ...

Re: Wrong make of car on ticket
IMO its a pain in the ass to fight parking tickets, and not worth your time and effort. And most of the time you are in the wrong lol! Well I had that experience atleast. I have done two in my life and won one with the prosecutor and then got another one reduced from like $25 to like $10 or something I dont really remember was long time ago... But ...

Re: first speeding ticket
Yess exactly what HwyBear said...its 16 and over for any points, but you still will be convicted at 105, no points but better than a 140 conviction thats for sure....This is where if you really want to fight this you get disclosure, make sure theres a radar type reading then act...but from what we see here regularly, I bet NO Prosecutor would even ...

Re: first speeding ticket
Get disclosure then you can see the Officers notes. If he really did clock you at 140 and lowered it to 105 thats not a bad deal. Keeping in mind the points are bad but its still the Conviction that WILL raise your insurance.

Re: Drive hand held communication device
Wouldnt it be you who would have to prove you were not texting at that moment? Best way for that is to get your phone history I would think.
I think its fairly easy to tell the difference if someone is texting or just pressing say their radio buttons.
