Re: Driving record abstract while tickets under appeal
I would say they stay until the appeal has been won, simply because you have been convicted and that conviction does not get erased until proven otherwise....

Re: Affects of tire size?
The instant answer is no, due to data transmission delays and interference.admin wrote:Would GPS units be a better measurement of your speed, than your cars speedometer?Stanton wrote:While not 100% accurate, most GPS units give real time speed information. Many highways also have mile (or kilometer) markers, so you could time yourself between markers and see if it matches your indicated speed.
Is it accurate?? most of the time, i would say yes.... cloudy days, bridges, tall building will affect the update rate and accuracy thou.... Just my 2 cents.

Re: Is this legal (Lighting)?
what if my parking lights are used in the same socket as the signal lights? I will be removing the amber reflectors out of my headlights because it is ugly. I also plan to put white CREE projector signal lights. not amber. even tho it;s all the same socket will this be illegal? If so, is it required that the vehicle is modified to change or can you just pay the ticket and be on your way? AFAIK, NY and Ontario reciprocate, in other words, a NY ticket will show up on your Ontario abstract.

Here is the monkey wrench.......... connect your "Hands-free stereo headphones to your phone".... listen to music, but be able to recieve calls......... and when pulled over you tell the officer, "but it's attached to my phone for "hands-free"..... now you be the officer........ continue the discussion........

Re: Operating Procedure for Bee III Radar
Just for clarity, all radar is "supposed" to be used for is to confirm what the officer has witnessed. In other words, the officer witnessed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed, estimates it, then pulls the radar trigger to confirm the visual..... BTW, radar does not have sighting scope.... as for testing, the self check of the internal circuitry is sufficient for the courts.... try googling if you want for the user manual........

Re: 35 over notice of trial mistakes/ disclousure request
The request form is actually an attempt to help the system work better, however the crown will try to use it to their advantage..... so use their form and ask for the usual items that you can find in other threads here. Use these to figure out what NOT to ask for.

Re: 35 over notice of trial mistakes/ disclousure request
Fill out their form and add whatever you want, really. That doesn't mean asking for the birth date of the officer, keep your requests pertanant to the offence. Type it all up and fax it over, so you have a record. Keep copies for yourself. The agency number sounds like you may have an out, but I am not 100% on that. You may have to consult a paralegal for a firm answer.
