Re: Fail to use lower beam oncoming
bend, thanks for replying. Really appreciate it. I am going for trial and have aleady got the disclosure. There isn't much that I can argue about except the officer said it was dark at that time but it wasn't. Other than that, I don't know what to say.

Fail to use lower beam oncoming
Help! Help!
I was driving on McNicoll between Midland and Kennedy on Dec. 18, 2012 when I was stopped by a police officer and told my high beam was on. A ticket of $ 110 was handed to me for failing to use lower beam. It was getting dark at that time but not really dark. I know if I go to court to plea bargan they will lower the ticket to around $ 65 . But the ticket will remain on my record which will raise my insurance next year. Can someone please tell me how to fight for it to be wiped out of my record. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Red light offence
Stanton,
Thanks so much for the information. It's very nice of you to share it. This helps me prepare my trail. The photo copied ownership card does have both sides of the original with the stickers on it. The clearly transparent plastic jacket had only the ownership and insurance cards in it, nothing else. The officer could easily see them and therefore, they just took it from me and went back to their car without asking me to take the documents out to show them. If I use this to defend myself in court, would that be enough to convince the judge? Please advice.

Red light offence
Help! Help! Got 3 tickets at the same time! On Oct. 5 last year I was in the third south bounding car waiting to turn left at Donmills and Sheppard when the light turned amber. The light was still amber when it was my turn to go, so I turned and the light turned red when I was half way through. I was then pulled over by a police car and handed over my package of document on request with my photo copied ownership card and two ins cards, one current and one outdated, in a clear plastic jacket. The police officers, two of them with one standing on each side of my car, went back to their car for h...

HTA 144(18) RED LIGHT - FAILED TO STOP.
Mine was the third car facing south in the queue waiting to turn left behind the white line at Donmills and Sheppard when the light turned amber. The first two cars proceeded and the light was still yellow, so I followed them entering the intersection and turned left. The light changed to red while I was half way through and I had no choice but to move on in order not to block traffic. I was then pulled over by a police car and two young cops walked out, one on each side of my car stating the camera showed I was running red light. Quietly, I handed over my ownership and insurance cards in a cl...

Re: Turning left on amber light and hit by a forthcoming car
Thanks a lot for your comments and advice. I have already been offered a reduction of points from 6 to 2 but am still wondering how much chance I stand to get the careless driving charge dropped if I hire a traffic ticket fighter to prepresent me in court.

Re: Turning left on amber light and hit by a forthcoming car
Thanks for responding and giving me advice. I have talked to a few traffic ticket agents and got some very conflicting advise. Some said it's very hard to convict careless driving and based on the information I provided there is a very good chance to win if I hire them to represent me. One even said there is 100% chance to win as he has never lost fighting a careless driving ticket over the last 10 years. However, some said the opposite, meaning the information I provided is good enough to convict me. The reason they reduced my points from 6 to 2 is because the witness didn't show up, even tho...

Turning left on amber light and hit by a forthcoming car
It happened last December. I was facing north in the middle of the intersection at Donmills and McNicoll waiting to make a left turn. There was a big white van on the other side of McNicoll facing south waiting to turn left too. When the light changed to amber, I checked and the road was clear, there was no upcoming vehicle. So slowly I made the left turn. Suddenly a small car dashed up from behind the big white van and hit me. Both vehicles were badly damaged. As a result, I was charged with careless driving with $499 fine and 6 points. I know I was not supposed to turned on amber when the ro...
