Misspelled Name on Ticket
Hi there, my wife was just issued a Part 1 offence and her last name is spelled incorrectly. Set fine and total payable are correct.
Would following what you folks did work for a just a misspelled name based on the argument that the ticket was not complete and regular on its face and the JP should have quashed it (even though he does not know the last name is spelled incorrectly).

Misspelled last name does not invalidate the ticket.

Courts in Ontario have ruled that a misspelled name is not enough to get you out of the ticket. Read iFly55 list of fatal errors posted above.
