Can a warning ticket be turned into an actual ticket if contesting another issued ticket at the same time?

Not sure if my title was clear enough... that said I received a warning for speeding and a ticket for a moving violation.
The moving violation ticket is 2 points so I would like to contest it, however I am unsure if the speeding warning can be "recalled" into a ticket if I contest the other violation?
