32 Kmh Over - Court Date Set For 2 Days From Now!

Unread post by john_stevo »

Hi, I have this ticket https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-1YTMX ... p=drivesdk . I missed my early resolution date and now have a court date set for Wednesday (I completely forgot about it)

I was hoping someone would be able to tell me if I have any chance of beating it and if not what are my options for the day of the trial?

The officer's notes show he's a qualified LIDAR operator and he tested the unit both before and after enforcement. I hate to say it, but the case against you is pretty rock-solid. Traffic was light, so the officer is not likely to have confused your car with another. The officer states he never lost sight of you. On the upside, he did say you were cooperative, you gave him all the required documentation, etc.

Your best bet is likely to see if the prosecutor will offer you a lower speed or accept an offer of a lower speed from you. If the officer is there (and it's highly likely he will be), you're not going to beat him on evidence.
