hi all, great site! I have been looking for an answer to this, and pretty much read all 36 threads pertaining to my question. having just found this site my trial is may 30th 2011 offence (seatbelt) offence date april 26 2010 which is 13 months 4 days. as of today it is 13 days to trial. should I file for disclosure? Should I start the 11b proccess or should I go in and ask for an ajournment to give the crown the 15 days plus they will need? Trial is on markham rd. I have no convictions and the officer was cool, I was distressed at the time and he suggested I get the seatbelt fixed by my mechanic, and he would drop the charge to drive vehicle with improper seat belt, which carries no points thanks Dave

13 months should get the charge stopped at Markham Road. You can request the adjournment, but be prepared to explain why. This will also stop the 11B clock at 13 months and 4 days, but that still should be enough to get the charge stayed.

Hi, last summer I was pulled over when I made a left turn from he middle lane at Harbor and Yonge Street (heading east on the Gardiner and taking the Yonge exit). I swear they nabbed about 10 people in 5 minutes. Anyways, I decided to challenge in court, my court date is in April and I have just…

Last July I got pulled over for failure to obey stop sign at a T-intersection in my neighbourhood. After I got my trial date I requested disclosure in November. Sent in another request for disclosure in early January and in mid-January got a call to pick it up at the court office. The disclosure…
