Attendance (travel) money for summons to witness

Unread post by mzone4015 »

Hi all, I received a summons to witness for a minor violation of the provincial highway traffic act. The thing is, the court location is over 400km from my residence and I didn't receive any kind of allowance when I was served the document. Does this omission render the summons invalid. Thanks!

Generally, witnesses who come from out of town are reimbursed for travel expenses. You can contact the courts and inquire about this.
