"fail To Surrender Insurance Card" - Increased My
I got charged with "fail to surrender insurance card" a year ago and I didn't bother to challenge it in court to dismiss the $50 ticket. I figured no points just a small fine, "no big deal" and just paid the fine. Then it came back to bite me in the ass.
Now a year later I find that my insurance premiums have increased 70%.
Broker said I was above the 3 infraction limit, and said I needed high risk insurance. Is there anything I can do to get the "insurance card ticket" dropped after I have already paid the ticket.
If you got any knowledge on how to get my insurance premiums lowered other than just waiting for 3 years, that would be great too.
Thanks in advance.
I would say that your insurer is messing with you. Get some quotes from other people, and quote them instead.

+1
I've personally seen people with 5 convictions on their record who are still on "normal" insurance. Shop around.

Thanks, will do. I'll check with another broker and see whats up. I'll update this thread when i get some answers.
Use online quotes, too. They give a great estimate.
Also, you can "add" tickets to the blank quote and see how much each one increases your premiums.

You have to fight every ticket these days. Any traffic ticket on your driving record can affect your insurance rates, and by more than the amount on the ticket.
