Failure To Apply Becoming Owner?no Insurance

by: mrfrances on

Hey I have a court date slip for not have the car registered in my name yet, and no insurance. I know the fines for the insurance, but can anyone tell me what the fine for the ownership is? and is there a way to have these lowered...say if i went to court and had it all fixed and is=nsurance, etc. would they maybe lower or erase my fines?

thank you

You can tell the prosecutor that you have taken steps to rectify the situation:

- produce proper ownership to him/her

- produce full insurance contract for said vehicle (not pink insurance card, might think you are trying to pull wool over his/her eyes)

I have seen prosecutors ask for reduced fines and or withdraw the charge, however it is still up to each individual prosecutor
