Vin Location

by: night_train01 on

I just finished building a custom motorcycle, I know I need a VIN plate/sticker. Is there a requirement as to where the VIN identification has to be placed? or if it can be a sticker or a metal plate attached to the motorcycle?

Motorcycles VIN location: I don't know the mechanical name, but here is where it is.....where the handle bars bolt on.....the round hole of the frame part where the handle bar sits....that is where the VIN should be located on the right side. It is also placed /engraved / riveted on so that standing on the right side, by gas tank, bend forward and look sideways, so that the VIN can be read left (top) to right (bottom, closest to road).

Above is merely a suggestion/thought and in no way constitutes legal advice or views of my employer. www.OHTA.ca
