The Most Dangerous Highway In Ontario...

by: racer on

...is Guelph-Wellington Highway 6 (also known as Gordon Road).

According to what has been published by University of Guelph newspaper (the Ontarion, #157.02 Sept. 18, 2008), with their reference to a similar article in Guelph Mercury called Killer Highway of 08 September 2008, there has been 24 fatalities on a 24 kilometre stretch of highway between HWY403/QEW and HWY401 since 2000. Does anyone who use the highway know just what is wrong with it? Some say that frequent speed changes from 80 to 50 are a factor, while others note that there are a lot of local commuters there that do not mix well with regional traffic. In any case, what do you think should be done to that highway?
