Reinstating Suspended Licence - Question

Unread post by bkimz »

Hello, everyone.

My licence was suspended for 7 days recently and I have a question regarding reinstatement.

I understand you need to visit a Service Ontario office to get the Temporary Driver Licence and they mail you the original licence card later.

Can I go to ANY Service Ontario to do so? (Suspension happened far from home. Can I go to a location near my residence to get the TDL?)

Does the time of the day matter? (Licence was suspended at 2pm. Would getting the TDL in the morning of the 7th day like 10am possible?)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you..

You should be able to renew you licence anywhere. You dont have to go back to the jurisdiction where the offence occurred.

In regards to your second question, Im not sure, but I believe the suspensions are time specific. You should probably verify that with the MTO however.
