I sent it beginning May. The offence occurred in April.

Will it affect the process if I send another one just to be sure?

And I guess my follow-up question is if I don't receive one in time, what should I do?

Go to court, explain that you still haven't received disclosure yet, and show proof that you did, in fact, make a disclosure request.

The JP should grant an adjournment so you can get disclosure.

Are they picky with the proof? I mean I have the fax confirmations with the date, number sent to, etc. It's my first time going through the process so not sure what to expect.

Thanks for the help.

Somewhat. But if you have the fax confirmations that should (not necessarily will) be enough.
