Wrong-way Cyclist

by: sammo on

I was driving downtown Toronto this afternoon, and I was waiting at a stop sign, to make a left turn at a T zone. I checked and saw no traffic, and I made the turn. However, a cyclist who was going against the oncoming traffic suddenly emerged on my right and we collided.

Im pretty sure that Im in the right as I was following the rules and being careful, and that I had no way of seeing him since he was moving forward in the lane closest to mine (which means he was against traffic).

Am I in the right?
