Notice Before Suspension?

by: baptito on

Hello.. I am curious , back in April (I think) I got a ticket for failing to stop at a stop sign. I completely forgot about it and today I get a license suspension notice.. My question is does MTO not send out a conviction notice before they send out a suspension. I havent had a taiffic ticket in over 15 years and they used to send a conviction with a time to pay before suspension. Just curious seems a little odd, but with the mail strike who knows. :D :D

Notice of conviction would come from the court in the area where the ticket was issued. They would then pass the information on and then the MTO would issued your suspension. Sounds like the notice from the court didn't get sent. This in no way invalidates your suspension though.
