Can I Still Appeal This Ticket?

Unread post by og09 »

I received a speeding ticket and driving without possession of my licence last June. I was going to file to take it to trial but I forgot because I went on vacation for 6 weeks. When I got back my licence was suspended due to non payment. I spoke to my paralegal and he told me to pay the fine to get my licence reinstated and then we could appeal the tickets in October. I paid the fine but I never appealed.. Is it to late to appeal or can I still do it?

Thanks.

You can file an appeal at any time, they may or may not grant it. My opinion is that it's not likely to be granted in this case. Reasons: 1) conviction was just because you forgot and 2) because it's been so long.

NOTHING I SAY ON HERE IS LEGAL ADVICE.

Agreed. I think the window of opportunity to re-open this one has long been closed.
