Driving With Expired License.

by: Squared on

Hello everyone,

Today I was issued a ticket for driving with an expired license ($325).

It is nobody's fault but my own.

I was very lucky that the ticking officer was nice to me and didn't tow my car

Like he could have.

After getting my ticket I went straight to the mto and renewed my license.

While in conversation with the officer the first thing he said to me was to go to court and

"fight" the ticket. This may result in a lowered fine or getting completely dropped.

I have never even thought of fighting a ticket before but since the officer had suggested it

I think I am going to give it a shot (unless somebody can tell me any different).

So my questions is

How do I do it?

What should I say?

What should I not say?

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

You can't fight this ticket as you either had a licence or you didn't. What you can do is meet with the prosecutor and show him or her that you immediately got one and try and convince them it was an oversight and hope they take pity on you and withdraw the ticket.
