Levels Of Suspicion (reasonable Grounds, Etc.)

by: Keegan on

Hi. I've posted to this forum a few times and always received great help -- thanks to everyone! No ticket this time :P but I'm hoping to ask a more general question about levels of suspicion. I've tried to do a little research and found some information on reasonable grounds but I can't seem to find a definitive resource explaining the different levels of suspicion needed for different things.

Not sure precisely what you mean about different levels of suspicion.

Reasonable grounds ("A set of facts or circumstances which would satisfy an ordinary cautious and prudent person that there is reason to believe and which goes beyond mere suspicion") is the basis for most charges, but a "reasonable suspicion" articulated by an Officer could justify a detention for investigative purposes.

Can you be more specific about the "things" you're curious about?
