had the oncoming traffic started to move when you made your left? You might be able to argue that you turned because no one was moving so it would be reasonable to assume they did NOT have a green light. We have one intersection in Stratford that has a solid green circular light in one direction whi...

Re: 65KPH in a 40KPM

...he said that there is no reason to do it as I will get no demerit points and that my insurance won't go up. Not sure why cops keep telling people this. Just trying to put them at ease I guess, so they don't go all postal on them roadside. "There, there. Everything will be all right. Shh... shh.....

Would this be legal?...

While driving downtown today, the car I was following slowed to a stop for several seconds. I stopped behind him and noticed he was pointing out one of the stores to his passenger. He then went to go, but stopped again for more discussion with his passenger. I assumed he didn't realize he was blocki...

So, in a sense, you've already received ONE continuance already. There's a good chance you won't be granted another. Others on this board have much more experience in court than I and may offer a more qualified opinion on that. If it were me, I'd spend an entire day sitting at my computer writing ou...

Attend on your court date and ask the JP for a Continuance (extension of time) so you can file a Disclosure Request (all evidence against you) and so you can seek legal council. You may also choose to request separate trial dates for each and every charge against you (so you can focus on one charge ...

He made a mistake. He wrote the wrong section down. Don't bring it to anyone's attention 'till your trial. Wave off all plea offers by the JP. Can't decide if I'd request disclosure or not.......... ya, but not until I've received my court date in the mail. Ask one question of the officer (on the st...

Am I missing something?... Still on page 10 but: "...speed increased incrementally to 130, and then to 131" So she was charged for being 51 over, right? I sure hope the following Genesis II specs are wrong then, or there's a good chance she was really driving just 48 over  Specifications for ...

But I thought you said painting the cars black & white was such a great idea of JF's. Something about making a stronger visual presence out on the road. But now you say stealth is better.. Now I'm all confused again :?

Good luck. Tell it like it is! Even if you lose, at least you tried.
BTW, the Crown will likely offer a lower charge just before court. It'll be up to you whether you accept the deal or not.

Sounds like a witness will-say statement prepared by the prosecutors office. If the details differ from those on the officers notes, by all means point out these discrepancies when questioning the officer on the stand. I doubt a JP will put much faith in the crowns case if there are inconsistencies....

Like do I have to show up in court to make my court date and pick (option 3) before the 15 days (to pay the ticket) is up?

Thanks
