Broke student. Hoping to get the fine lowered to the minimum for a red light camera ticket in Toronto.

Wanted to know what the lowest possible fine can be for the offence? Just so I know in case the prosecutor plays games.

Or do I have any other options? Have them change it to another offence for a lower fine? Of course, to one that would not reflect on my license.

First of all, be aware that your license and insurance aren't affected by a red-light camera ticket. You a charged as the owner, not as a driver.

I don't know about an actual allowable minimum fine, but I can tell you that my wife got hers cut almost in half by pleading the same cause.
