HTA SEC 144(9) - RIGHT TURN ON YONGE AND DUNDAS
I am an idiot!! So I was going home after a a concert at the opera house October 10,2025. It was raining that night and I don’t feel comfortable driving highways in the rain. I was taking more or less the long way along with my brother and bf. I am from Vaughan and My thing is- I am HARDLY ever in downtown, like rarely.
Anywayyyy, being distracted by not knowing my way (gps was not working on my car and my brother was giving me directions) I turned right onto Yonge from Dundas to go northbound - my mistake, I was more focused on like not running a red or anything like that. Downtown driving makes me nervous as hell.
I get pulled over and officer says he’s not gonna give me a ticket, gives me one anyway. Rude. I have trial on the 27th. Really cutting it close and just a few hours ago I received disclosure.
I honestly didn’t even realize until after getting the video that the police officer wasn’t like behind me or something, he was quite the distance away (barely seeing me tbh) and I believe even mentioned in the video that they lost me at some point.
Just wondering on what I can do at trial because like I am terrified and I just don’t want the conviction/dermits - I don’t care about the fine.
