Re: Help.. 114 (9) PROCEED CONTRARY SIGN INTERSEC

I ended up taking the plea deal of no demerit points and something to do with green light infraction which comes with $60 fine. At that point, I wanted to just move on plus i'm not certain if the officer was outside just waiting for trial which I did saw a few of them came in after being called to t...

Re: Prohibited Turn Sign Cannot be Seen

JP means Justice of the Peace; in most POA Courts, JP preside, not Judges. So you won't really talk with the JP per se. You will show up to Court, may or may not speak with Crown prosecutor before hand, then if you go to trial you will enter a plea, the Crown lays out the case, Officer testifies, y...

Re: Help.. 114 (9) PROCEED CONTRARY SIGN INTERSEC

Hi All, Tomorrow is my court date after a reschedule. Should I just show up and check what the crown will offer me? How do I know if the officer will be there for the trial, should I come in early; check and see if he is around? When I went to my reschedule the disclosure was actually there at the p...

Re: Help.. 114 (9) PROCEED CONTRARY SIGN INTERSEC

Is there somebody that can go for you? Just send them with a signed letter explaining that they are there to ask for a new trial date on your behalf because (1) you did not receive disclosure yet, and (2) you are away at a conference in Montreal. If you can't find anybody to go for you then I would...

Re: Original certificate of offence was not filed?

Sometimes there's a delay in receiving the ticket at the Fines Office, typically, the ticket is quashed at that point, the police service has the right to reserve you, but that SELDOM if ever happens unless this is a serious charge (MVC etc)...looks like you dodged one, keep all your paperwork, if ...

Original certificate of offence was not filed?

Hello All, Long time lurker first time poster. Here's a quick summary of what happened. I got caught passing a tractor trailer near 400N/Sheppard, the officer said I was going 135km/h on 100 trying to pass it. Long story short, I went to the location at the back of the ticket at York Civic Centre, 2...
