Re: Amber beacon

Stanton may be incorrect, one of my employees was recently stopped on the 400 nb for driving with his beacon on. He was informed that the amber light is for service vehicles "performing" service. This was a hydro one truck just driving. Not working. I think at the minimum you need a slow m...

Re: Need advice - meaning of sign

It means you can't use the road between the signs, for example, con 1 |-----CLOSED------|con 2 can't use that road to go between con 1 and con 2, can be used to go to your home if you live there.

Re: Sect 182 (2) Disobey sign

You should be signed onto that traffic plan, which would be good evidence in court, you should also make sure you read and understand book 7, by law you should have one on your truck, for what you are describing for where you were parked you would have been under TL (typical layout) #18, side of roa...

Re: Sect 182 (2) Disobey sign

I would got to court with your written traffic plan, signed by your co-workers for the day with them as witnesses, I would think this is sufficient evidence to have this tossed. Also if I'm not mistaken, this ticket would go against the CVOR/Company would it not? Did you have your beacons, 4 ways et...

Re: What's up with motorized vehicles that are not licenced?

They are classified as "work Equipment", and so far as I know, (for sure my company) you must have a permit to operate them on roadways etc...

Transmission lines are strung high enough to avoid causing interference to anything near or around them, the magnetic and induction fields just won't carry that far. There is also conductor sag that is accounted for, this is the maximum sag at peak load in the lines, none of this would come close to...

I was going up hill with cruise on, my truck slowed to about 115kmh when I got to the peak of the hill it dropped a gear and got to 124kmh, I was in the left lane and passed a car, it just so happened to be an unmarked patrol. Here's a couple things...
