Improper right turn (York & Front St)

I was given a ticket for an improper right turn on York from Front st for turning right from the left lane in 2009. I was actually turning from the right lane, but had to make a wider turn to avoid the pedestrians at the very busy intersection. I have my court date in a couple of weeks time. The officer did not ask any questions, I was just given the ticket and told of the offense. I contested the ticket and was waiting for the court date, but a month ago I got the conviction notice. I had to go to the court office to get another court date and reopen the case, which has happened now.

What are my options?

Same as before you got the conviction. You get to meet with the prosecutor to attempt to resolve the situation, and if not you go to trial.

Does the prosecutor have the authority to take the charge away? Or would they need to consult the Officer.

Once a charge has been laid the officer is out of the picture, except to return to testify if necessary.
