I'm not quite sure what you may or may not be trying to say here. Are you suggesting your passenger wasn't wearing their belt because of travel sickness? Travel sickness is not an emergency. If your passenger was feeling from travelling, the next logical step would be to stop the car. It wouldn't be a valid defense, if that's what you're asking.I anxiety/panic as my medical condition and the back seat passenger was complaining of travel sickness.

24 years old Male, near Ottawa
I got pulled over on a 4 lane section fo Highway 7... Thank god I didn't get a stay at home ticket as well or my car impounded.
Officer clocked me at 156 km/h he decided not to impound my car and give me a 149 km/h since it was my first offence and he said I was polite and respectful. I would give this officer a 5/5 review if I could, very polite and respectful.
I'm leaning towards pleading guilty and getting off my record as soon as possible.
I contacted a ticket fighting company and they said that a 149 ticket vs 139 ticket makes a big difference for insurance, is this true or just a sales tactic?
If I go to early resolution will this save me money in insurance or only decrease the "fine" or points, and are courts so backed up that this would take months meaning the 3 year clock for driving record starts at a latter date.

You may have to request that there's not enough time to go over disclosure if they want to proceed with the trial. It's likely not going to be an issue based on the speeding charge. Will the trial date be automatically adjourned to another date or do I have to request it if I find the days between receiving disclosure to the trial date is not long enough?

The offered deal on trial date, would that be offered by a prosecutor like in option 2 - ER?Yes, you will almost certainly be offered a deal (if there is wiggle room) when you arrive for your trial date. If you accept it, you'll plead guilty. If not, they will continue with a trial.
Will the trial date be automatically adjourned to another date or do I have to request it if I find the days between receiving disclosure to the trial date is not long enough? In most cases, you'll be provided with your request then and there and they will adjourn your trial to another date.

They may drop the fail to surrender if you agree to plead guilty on the speeding. That's just one example. It'll be up to them what is offered.I read more posts in the forum and found that the failure to surrender my insurance card and motor permit will also affect my insurance premiums. If I pick option 2, is it only possible that both charges and fees can get lightened and not even one can be dropped? Is there any way to argue that the officer did not give me sufficient time to locate them if I chose either option 2 or 3? Any help would be appreciated!
