Fail to stop school bus - meeting

Hi, I happened to drive across a school bus who had stopped with their red lights on (at a stop sign) and I wasn't attentive enough to see it;as a result i was fined with $490. Is there any way to fight against this? Or possibly lowering the charge?

Meet with the prosecutor and see what they have to offer. Good thing you didn't run over any kids.
