Red Light Proceed Before Green

by: mike001 on

I stopped at the red light. There was a red and left turn signal I mistakenly went through. One car was turning left and hit my back door. Cops came and charged me for Red light proceed before green 144(19) based on on witness. Not sure if 144(19) is correct, should be 8, maybe he wrote 8 but looks like 9. Don't no if it matters.

I don't seen any points info on the ticket. Kinda worried about insurance charges as I am a student.

Shoud I go for a trial? Any way to get the points taken out? Any suggestions is much appreciated.

Ticket has 3 points associated with it - those are non negotiable. No way to not get those points except to not be found guilty of the offence, or plead to a lesser offence.

144 (18) is the correct section for this incident.

NOTHING I SAY ON HERE IS LEGAL ADVICE.
