Driving while suspended. Have a warn range and am taking back on track course
Hello everyone im in a situation where I was caught while driving with a suspension. My suspension is from a warn range offense from very late January while being in a accident. I had paid for the course around February once my license was reinstated after a 7 day suspension. Although I dont have any proof I had been trying to get in contact with the john howard society in kitchener since late April and have never gotten a call back. I dont know if it was before I had a private number and it was just coming up as spam if thats why they never returned my call. Unfortunately I do not have that proof since I gotten a new phone and number. It wasnt until late may when they finally contacted me on my new number that I had setup the course to complete it. But since that was arranged I had gotten a notice that my license was suspended until the course is done. I have since then been getting rides to work or staying at my coworkers place. But of course the one time im at home and everyone is gone for the long weekend, I had drove to the gym in the evening just to do that and go home. Yes I know it was a stupid mistake and that I should have gotten a ride but its hard to get an Uber when you live out in the rural areas when Uber rides only accept when its during the day since I was going at night. My course is on July 18 and 20th. I have since contacted a lawyer to help with my case. Honestly how much of a chance do I have to get the offense lowered. I really dont want the 6 month suspension. Again yes I know it was a dumb mistake and I will never do it again. I am already dealing with a careless driving from march that I had possibly rode the shoulder and had lost controll and went into a ditch and hit a pole. My mind cant exactly recall what happened I just know I woke up after it had happened, went to the hospital and got cleared medically. Also yes I had admitted to the officer that had pulled me over and fully complied with him as I thought that there wouldnt be any point to plead ignorance as im sure this excuse has been used many times before. I just want more advice on what I should do and if my chances are bad or good to hopefully avoid the 6 month suspension
