Justice of the Peace doesn't show

Hi guys,
I went in for trial today, and the justice of the peace didn't show up! Everyone's trials were adjourned to a later date.
Can this help my case at all? Apart from the over 13months, since even with the adjournment, it's only been 6 months since the charge.
I asked if I can apply for costs (time off work, travel...this is the 4th time I'm going there for this charge and it's in another city)
