Good news! Went to my paralegal appointment, and he looked at my tickets, did some typing on the computer, etc.

He wanted to know any last detail that could relate to the police officers, and anything that could contribute to why I could have drove

He is gonna cost me $840

But, I think its worth it. He said that most of my tickets were duplicates (I.E of course I wont have an insurance card if I have no insurance, I got ticketed for both)

He said he is going to try to get them to drop the no insurance in exchange for some other minor ones.

We also discussed the possibility of me doing community service, as I'm pretty damn broke.

He has 35+ years in the business, started off as a police officer, then was a prosecuter, and a few small things in between. 15 years in paralegal work though.

It's a small town, so he personally knows the officer and the prosecutor that will have or will be dealing with me.

Also, I don't even have to show up for court. He does everything, apparently. He said if he feels that me being there will benefit me, he will contact me.

Otherwise I sit around after I retain him, and wait for the verdict. I hope he can help, this sucks.

My summons is Nov 8th, but he said it will take longer because he needs the disclosure, which for that many tickets n stuff would take quite a while.

He mentioned it should all be done and over with within three months.

I think you made a wise choice.

I think I did too, I just paid off my paralegal, and signed the retainer form. Now as far as he says, all I have to do is wait!

Paralegals make things MUCH more easier, although costly, I hope he can do what he says for me.

I will update if I hear anything!

Good news!

I got a call from my paralegal a week or something ago.

He said, the current prosecutor wanted to charge me with no insurance.

He then said the second one, wants to charge me with invalid plates, and fail to notify change of address because the police never actually SEEN me driving on anything but private property.

I don't actually see why this would raise my insurance but it seems it would. So I was wondering how much? This should finalize on Jan. 10 th after being adjourned twice

And the final conclusion comes!

attorney called, turns out he got me off all charges but the only two they can prove me on!

Failure to notify change of address, and invalid plates!

I'm so glad I went with my attorney, it's $400 and I have 4 months to pay it off, $25 a week!

Apparently the police couldnt actually prove I was driving on the road, even though the engine was hot, and It was on in the parking spot and my seatbelt was on.

Don't drive without the papers and insurance, it's not worth it and I learned that the hard way.

I'm glad you have learned from this, and I am also glad you didn't get completely @#$%^& in the process.

Now, don't do it again!
