Hi,

My car is a write-off.

Do I have to get the plates? What do I do with them?

I've read with stolen plates, you can apply the amount left on the sticker as a credit; is that the same when the car has been demolished?

If you can recover them, you can return them to a Service Ontario location for a refund of the remaining term less a service fee (used to be five bucks, could be more now).
