Trial Request Sent - How Long To Respond ?

Unread post by DrSteven »

I got a speeding ticket in Barrie area in August 2015, sent in my "not guilty , trial request" option on August 30 by registered mail (3 days after offence date) , it's October 20 now and I haven't heard back from them yet, does anyone know how long they take to respond ? This is from Barrie, ON court.

Well basically any court is never fast to respond to anything!

You can call the Clerk of the Court and give them your ticket number and ask the status.

Most likely they received your request but just haven't gotten around to getting the trial date set yet.
