Pedestrian Right-of-way At Intersection Without Crosswalk

Unread post by studlyfellow »

Let's say a pedestrian is walking along a road and comes to an intersection they want to cross. *At the same time*, a car wants to turn off the road the pedestrian is walking along, across the path of the pedestrian's intended crossing, and there is no stop sign.

The pedestrian is basically continuing along the path they're on, albeit crossing at an intersection, while the car is changing from one road or another.

Who has right of way?

Thanks.

The pedestrian. Basically if you hit something or someone while turning it is on you because you are supposed to make sure the way is clear.
