Failing To Stop On A Red Light

by: ksunak on

Hello All,

I recently received a traffic ticket, failing to stop on a red when turning right. The total payable is incorect, It shows $320 when it should be $325. Based on some inital reseach, it is being suggested that taking the no action approach and hoping the JP notices the error isn't the best route as London v Young was about the Set Fine amount and not the total payable. After speaking with a paralegal, it is suggested that they generally look to request a trial date for the ticket and then try to get the ticket dismissed by filing a motion to quash due to the error. Have you ever heard of this? I was coming up to my 15days so I decided on requesting a trial date. I would be very interested in your thoughts.

Thanks
