Red Light Ticket Or Ticket For Stop On Pedestrian Crossing?

by: Ticket?...nah on

On December 7, 2010 at 2:19 a.m. I was heading home from work. Then I saw two (or three) flashlight behind my car after I stopped suddenly at red light on Derry Rd E and Huontario St. When my car was stopped the green light is on. I was not run the red light. My car just stopped right on top of pedestrian crossing line - not even over yet!

My question is... Will I get a ticket for that? How do I find out? call OPP? contact information?

Thanks in advance.

If you saw a bunch of flashes behind you, then you probably got dinged by a red light camera.

The only thing you can do at this point is wait and see. The photographs have to show that your vehicle was outside of the intersection when the light was red, and then your vehicle must be in the intersection with the light still red. The police will not be able to say for certain and the city won't know the answer until the technician downloads the photo reel from the camera.
