For about the price of the last ticket I got for allegedly speeding, I bought myself a night vision capable video camera as well as fashioning a dash-board mount for it with velcro adhesives. The next thing I want to do is perhaps install a swivel mount where I can swivel my camera from front windshield to the back windshield. This way, for your defense at court, all statements are recorded, and if it's a case of mistakenly identifying a vehicle, then that would be recorded on video camera as well. A modern video camera on a 16 gig sd chip can record 100's of hours of driving at a time. The other thing I want to be able to do is to be able to record in real time as well as have a date stamp your speedometer readings. The next time a police officer pulls me over to accuse me of speeding, I can say, no I haven't and I have the proof right here, maybe be able to replay the speedometor readings right infront of him. Anybody know how I can achieve this? Do you guys believe this would work?

Peer presure is common in the business world and it's application is universal, one officer is guilty of wrongdoing, the other is guilty by association. Officers, what if your supervisors are asking you to stay quiet on a certain disshonest or illegal situation to proctect that officer of wrongdoin? Will you be the one and only whistleblower and risk your own jobs? This is how in society an officer can become a victim. Like beeing stuck between a rock and a hard place.

To prove the charge, is the prosecution who has to provide credible evidence showing that your camera system and the produced video is faulty. Good luck with that. In both cases, unless the contrary is shown, it is enough to show that, although these instruments may be working improperly, if they may also be working properly, then that reasonable possibility creates a reasonable doubt. The oncoming traffic was about to clear so I made a quick look to the left to ensure no pedetrians are crossing. There are two people standing on the corner, deep in coversation, but no worries, I can turn. The intersection clears and I make my left. Just then, one of the fellows on the corner makes a sudden break from his discussion, and with a backwards twist kind of thing, launches into the crosswalk without looking (aside from the quick glance up at the crosswalk light). My Caddy is being retired for a slightly newer one. Ive been browsing all week for cameras, havent decided yet what im installing. Im thinking of keeping it as simple as a keychain cam. I too have been stopped lots. Ive had my license for 2 years. Hmm... a list of everything i can remember: Stopped in my grand prix, pipes too loud, tint too dark. Lots of arguing, was sent on my way, no tickets or warnings, but threatened if stopped again, yadda yadda. Stopped same car for headlight out. Nice guy, gave me a notice to repair it. Fixed next day and went to the police station with the notice, no one ever heard of the guy... Stopped same car, something about excessive driving. 4 lane, 80 limit. IMO it isnt speed that kills. I find transport trucks infact help keep the road going. With cars that choose to not move to the right and slow down the middle lane the trucks would try to pass in their passing lane therefore the slower traffic would move right.

This weekend my father was involved in an accident with a transit bus in Burlington, ON. After the police showed up he was charged with "Fail to obey stop sign" Sec. 136(1)(a). At this particular intersection there NO stop signs but there are traffic lights. There is construction going on there so one of the light posts is smaller.

So my boyfriend and I recently started dating. I have a vehicle that was insured. Insurance cost too much and I found it was just as easy to walk to work due to how close it was. But I didn't want to get rid of my car just yet, plus I'm still making payments on it as well. When we moved into our appartment together, I had it towed to my parking spot out back.
I was making a left hand legal turn on a green light, a driver came through the lane I was supposed to be going into ran the red and hit me head on as I was turning into my lane. When the officer came he was telling me that I was racing and driving recklessly because apparently there was reports of street racing in the area. I was not charged on the scene for this but I'm scared i am going to be…
I got a ticket for failure to surrender insurance because I did not have my new insurance stubs with me, just a bunch of expired ones. My policy number has not changed, so I asked the officer to just run the policy number so I could prove that I was in fact insured. He said they don't have that ability, handed me the ticket and reminded me that my car could have been impounded.
So I'm in a bit of a pickle and would appreciate if someone could clarify something for me.
I'm less than a month away (test on April 6th) from getting my full G license, and got a speeding ticket recently. The ticket was for 49km/h over the posted limit of 100km/h on the 403 in Oakville/Halton region, but was reduced from the initial ~60km/h over.
