Required Time To File Intent Upon Receiving Offense Notice

by: Ingo on

I was wondering if anyone knows exactly how long one has to file a notice of intent upon receiving a offense notice in ontario.

The reason I am asking is that although the offense notice states that you must file within 15 days of receiving the notice, recently in Milton, the court clerk allowed me 30 days, since she said that was the time period you were actually required to file within. I also came across similar information in the POA, but cannot find that information again.

Some people also reported that they were able to file for a trial up to a month after the date. of the ticket. Maybe this is why.
