Is My License Suspended?

by: Mboudreau on

I got convicted of 49km over as a g2 driver. This merits 4 points. I was under the impression from my paralegal that I would get a 30 day suspension. I don't know if I have to surrender my license.

According to the ontario website http://www.ontario.ca/driving-and-roads ... rit-points

-says i need to get 6

According to MTO website http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/ ... .6.0.shtml

-also says i need 6

So basically, can I drive? I have been arranging a carpool to work for the past week, but could I have been driving this whole time?

Speak to MTO. It won't start until they are aware it has. Back in my youth I got a 30 day as a novice driver and didn't drive for a month. Later I got a letter telling me that my licence was suspended and to send it in. Double hit !

Former Ontario Police Officer. Advice will become less relevant as the time goes by !

Yep just go into an MTO and ask and they will tell you yes or no. That's the easiest/best choice.

49 km/h over? ouch!!! you should slow down

+++ This is not legal advice, only my opinion +++
