Witness In Careless Driving Ticket

by: pcdunlop on

Had a minor accident, cop showed up and gave me careless driving ticket. I chose option 3, will fight the ticket and request disclosure when I receive the notice of trial. Since the cop didn't witness the accident, does he still need to be present (other than the other driver who is actually the witness) for me to be convicted in trial?

Thanks

Nope. The witness is enough.

Despite what the newspapers and rumours say, most of the time the cops do show up. So plan on the cop being there.
